Marlborough, Ma, April 7, 2011 – Access Northeast, one of the largest privately held datacenter and managed service providers in New England, today announced the release of its Parthenon Secure Cloud dedicated service.  Access Northeast’s new Private Cloud products are designed to help alleviate security concerns for businesses who are wary of migrating important applications to the Cloud, yet still desire the benefits of computing scalability, flexibility, cost efficiency and maximum uptime.  The Parthenon Secure Cloud is a comprehensive one-stop shop for critical corporate systems that can be built, provisioned and online within 45 days, powering an entire business at an affordable cost.

“Access Northeast is pleased to extend the performance and reliability of the Parthenon Cloud Hybrid Platform to dedicated customer infrastructure via our new Secure Private Cloud service,” said Rob Stephenson, CEO of Access Northeast. “We envision businesses of all sizes being able to capitalize by rapidly deploying internal and external IT applications in the comfort of a secure, hosted environment.”

This fully customized, dedicated service is built with industry leading components from Dell, VMware, Fortinet, Radware and Cisco on Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux operating systems.  Architected, deployed and managed by Access Northeast, Parthenon Secure Cloud’s origins are derived from nearly a decade of enterprise private VMware management expertise.  Three service levels are available right out of the box:

Secure Cloud – Cost Efficient, entry-level offering with five to fifty servers priced at an average cost of $400/virtual server.

Enterprise Secure Cloud – Powerful, Corporate Infrastructure which is capable of serving thousands of end-users, scaling from a minimum of ten, up to hundreds of virtual servers.

Custom Secure Cloud – Corporate Environment built to client specifications with premium equipment that can manage an unlimited amount of servers upon demand.

Parthenon Enterprise Secure Cloud clients are allocated private colocation cabinet space with an ability to add additional customer-owned or Access Northeast managed equipment on demand.  There are no shared resources–each client receives dedicated storage, computing and networking equipment.  The Parthenon Secure Cloud design ensures the ultimate level of data integrity, which is ideal for compliancy requirements for both Public and Private Corporations alike.

Our Green Data Center Initiative

Posted ago by Joe Conlin

In the past, Managed Services providers have focused only on their customer’s availability.  While this will always be Access Northeast’s primary objective, we also have the ability to meet our customer’s rising interest in the ‘greening’ of data centers, instituting operational changes and infrastructure upgrades to decrease the carbon footprint of facilities.

Access Northeast is continuously looking at better ways to operate environmentally friendly facilities that benefit both the customer and the community at large.

We have implemented, and continue to pursue, many technological advances that provide maximum uptime with minimal environmental impact.

Access Northeast has made a significant commitment (money and time) in designing our data centers to be as eco-friendly as possible. Through the incorporation of newer, more advanced data center technologies, we are attempting to become an industry leader in eco-friendly cooling and power optimization. In our first phase, Access Northeast has currently deployed:

  • Power System Components that are higher in efficiency and operate with reduced emissions
  • Environment friendly building materials and design that reduce the demands on cooling to the facility
  • Ultrasonic Humidification Systems that requiring less energy and create no additional heat, unlike older steam type humidifiers

We welcome visitors to schedule a tour of our facilities to learn about how Access Northeast is doing its part to help the environment with our Green Initiative. Contact us to schedule a tour with a Sales team member today.
